A cold front will begin crossing the region today before stalling near the Texas/Louisiana line. At the same time, a tropical wave will move across the north Gulf. These features combined will spread scattered showers and storms over the area today and Sunday. Expect periods of heavy rains with breaks in between. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are expected with totals up to 4 inches possible thru early Monday. Higher amounts are mostly expected over Lower Acadiana. However, a few spots elsewhere could see the higher totals.
