An upper-level high will build in during the week helping to decrease and limit the chance for showers and thunderstorms. The exception will be near the coast today when a wave moving across the northern Gulf will bring an increase in shower activity. Temperatures will be hot and humid during the daytime and muggy at night today. However, tomorrow through the end of the week drier air moves in to bring less humid conditions.
