High pressure will dominate the pattern this week, with no significant storm systems on the horizon. Although a few scattered showers will be possible Monday and Tuesday, any rainfall will be light and limited to SE TX and far SW LA. Even with light winds, with very dry fuels and afternoon humidity in the 30-40% range, elevated fire danger will exist through this week, mainly for inland SE TX and SW/Central LA. Some guidance is hinting at a cold front this upcoming weekend, though with little if any rainfall. If this occurs, a more widespread fire weather concern may develop.
